Desolate Cobb, Lyme Regis

Yesterday, I was out on my permitted exercise walk and ventured as far as The Cobb, in my (now) home town of Lyme Regis. An eerie silence pervaded - just the sound of the waves and seagulls' cries. It made me realise just how much noise is normally generated by people in their daily activities. Although the unusual quiet was enjoyable, its quality on such an otherwise wonderful Spring day served as a constant reminder of what we are going through and the suffering of so many individuals and families.
