Devil's Marbles at Sunset

The Devil's Marbles lie just off the Stuart Highway between Alice Springs and Katherine in the Northern Territory of Australia.

At sunrise and sunset, the "marbles" glow in the fantastic colours of the Australian outback.

A very vivid shot capturing these extraordinary boulders so well: I wonder what the geological explanation is for them and how they come to be perched, apparently so precariously, where they are. Thank you for sharing this shot with us,
