The farm worker adds the purpose to the horses toil Ann, better in than out for me. Do you set the white balance yourself or let the camera choose?

There is a blue haze Ann but so what. Photography is to be enjoyed. We would all like to be perfect but Unfortunately for whatever reason we cannot. The angle and composition are good so you are nearly there.

Lovely pair of images. V2 just takes my vote
Nice timeless quality to it that is not in V1 simply due to the ploughmans modern clothes ! !
For a slightly warmer feel try setting the camera's white balance to cloudy
But as you shoot in RAW w/b is easily adjusted in most photo processing software

I am finding it difficult even shooting in raw to process, perhaps I should go to specsaversWink the confusing thing "it was a bright sunny day" when do you set the Wh.B. to cloudy? in this instance - confoooosin!

Love #2.

Here is a tip for you to try. Go into levels. There are 3 little squares with droppers in them. Select the middle one. This is the mid grey dropper. Then click on the image at a point that is most mid grey. You can try several areas until you find the best one.

Great to see these heavy horses at work: there was once so many more, both on the land as well as in the cities.
I too prefer V 1 with the ploughman included.

Hi Ann, like both, a tip for you that is easy! open photo in Photoshop, click image button, then autocolour, this works most of the time, if not ctrl and z to go back.

Regards

Trev.

wonderful shot but i prefer the worker left in in this instance Ann it gives the photo a purpose and balance as for wb on sunny days use the daylight symbol and that might help you more

this is a nice shot, its hard to get everything right have you had a look at this one especially in mono, it may look good, ronnie

Beautiful images, Ann. Both should have a vote but I'll go for the close-up of v.2. Interesting comment by Ronnie above, would have a real retro-look in mono I think, even more than they have now.
