Ding!

By HarrietH
Sorry but the dong has gone missing. A church in ruins that I found on a drive round our "lake" in the north. There were some ladies placing flowers on a grave in the churchyard but they couldn't give me any details as to what happened to this church. I find it very sad to see what must have been a pretty church in ruins. I could see inside and it was full of blackberries and probably a snake or two.

Bit of a bugger when you've lost your dong. Lost mine years ago Isabel. But I do like your pictures.

I love that window in V2 Maureen and the bell tower gives us a glimpse of the church ruins.
I don't like the sound of snakes in there though.

Surprising that the bell is still there.
Worth a few bob to the scrap man.

Lovely pictures - full of atmosphere.

It must have been a magnificent structure during it's heydays. Well observed and beautifully composed.
