Dingly Dell

By Nettles
Yesterday I took Dolly doglette for a walk in the Dalby Forest which is on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Unfortunately it is a very popular place, so the world, his wife, their dog/s and children were there. Needless to say, being used to more of the solitary life I didn't stay long, but did manage to take a few shots through the crowds.
All of which I took while I was balancing my bags of equipment, holding the dog's lead and all shots are of course hand held with one hand.
I will needless to say be going back again this week to try and catch the autumn colours.
This shot is taken at the Low Staindale car park where the stream leads to a lake not too far away.
Thank you for your votes and comments yesterday, much appreciated, particularly as EPZ was going EPZzzzzzzzz yesterday.
If you have the time, this is BETTER VIEWED LARGE, thanks.

Annette, don't spoil the magic, this lovely shot was obviously taken miles from anywhere and there isn't a soul in sight. Or his wife or dog...
Sorry you had a frustrating day, but you didn't miss anything happening very fast 'here', I defrosted the freezer while I was waiting for one page to change.
Cheers,

Super composition, the foreground detail is remarkable. I much prefer the tranquillity myself, too, never wanted to be one of the paparazzi.

The trees are remarkably green still in Yorkshire, Annette. Iv'e noticed this in a few other shots. I'm going up on Thursday and want orange ones. Must have been all that rain this year.

Nice composition with the stream as a nice lead into those trees and the water is so clear that you can see the pebbles/rocks adding interest into the f/g..... love the title too Smile

I like the tunnel effect - the trees have such interesting shapes. A very nice sheen to the water too - adds the perfect touch. As always, your write-up is superb. Like you, I seek out some solitude. Smile
