Another from Monday on the Lynton & Barnstaple Rly. Overall the weather gods were kind especially in the morning though it was very hazy out to the sea beyond. Visiting Manning Wardle Lyd with resident loco Lyn head through the idyllic landscape of Exmoor National Park below Trentishoe Down.

I'm not so sure about that. Flanders and Swann mourned the passing of The Slow Train , which I remember Enid Blyton described in a book as so slow you felt you could lean out and pick the flowers as you went by.

The nostalgia of those now distant days still beats in this breast.
