Disused Glasshouses, Walton Hall

By johnriley1uk
Walton Hall Park has plenty of interest, but it's sad to see how the concept of a Parks Department has decayed over the years. At one time these glasshouses would have been fully used, but now only the brick base and wooden superstructure remains as a reminder of better days. My wife Sue's grandfather was the head gardener of a Parks Department, many years ago of course, but he would be horrified at the state of things now.

What a sign of decay and neglect. It must have been real beauty in its day full of lots of plants, etc. You have captured what's left of it now in great detail.

What a shame, must have been glorious in its day.
