Looks very similar to the old one ay Scarborough, if it is still in use?, made from a WW11 gun emplacement and had the highest Diving Board I had ever seen way back in the 1969.
Great memory jogger shot, thought I had forgotten that,

Tynemouth Lido, I think, the steps and railings look right. It has been derelict for over thirty years now. See here and here

From this image it's easy to imagine the water and the people wandering around it and some taking a dip.

Such a shame isn't it Ron? Sure they could be restored at little cost and let youngsters in for next to nothing!

They had an outdoor pool at Grange over Sands years ago and now I wonder if that has gone?
