Diversionary Dawn

By MrsS
Hi, hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday Monday Smile

When we looked at the drive Up North, we were a bit stunned to see just how far it was, so we decided to travel part way on the Friday and continue on Saturday, hence shortening the trip.

SO -

My initial thoughts were to stop off around Glasgow or Edinburgh -

BUT -

We finally opted for CRAMLINGTON!!!!!

We did shorten our journey by a WHOLE hour, but had to travel for THREE hours to do it! Wink

Was it worth it? Well we got a better sunset than we thought we might and sunrise wasn't looking too hot when we got there, but Good Old Mother Nature had obviously decided that our trip needed a little reward and she put on a fabulous light show, just for us! Wink

Hope you think it was worth the diversion, too Smile

Thanks for calling in - have a great evening - back to school for me tomorrow, I have a classroom to prepare!!! Smile

Cheers!
Fran x

Definitely worth stopping off for this one. It is a long drive up here, which is why we usually do it in two days when we visit the family down south. And you certainly chose a good place to stop Smile

Thanks Adrian, Carol & Andy!

I sympathise, Andy! - the best thing is to take anti-histamine tablets well in advance! The pharmacist recommended Eurax lotion to soothe any bites - worked a treat Smile

lavender oil, one drop of neat essential oil dabbed on the bites will reduce swelling and relieve itching. lavender oil is one of the very few essential oils that can be used neat on the skin. Best used within a few minutes of the bite, but still quite effective on old bites.

I don't do dawn, but maybe I should if this is an example of what can be achieved - it's a stunner Fran!
