aka Trout Lily
These lovely lilies cover our woodlands (in Pennsylvania) for a couple of weeks-- then disappear as they are ephemerals. The tiny bublets look like the dog's canine teeth--- the leaves remind fone of the trout as they slip along in the water. This is how one sees them among the grass, etc.
