Don't Look Down

By Morgs
Well, it has been some time since I last posted on epz. My excuse is that life became unbearably busy and something had to give. That combined with the fact that I didn't have a great deal of new material to share, meant that I had to walk away for a while.

I hope to catch up with what has been happening on the site, and as a starter I'm uploading an image that I took in Morocco last week, when I was descending from Ouanoukrim, a 4088m mountain in the High Atlas.

The drop on either side of this snow arete was about 70 - 80%, and serious injury would have been sustained if a slip had been encountered. That said, the late snow in Morocco meant that the climb that would normally have been done on scree was a much more exciting prospect under the 10 metres of snow.

Regards,

David

Lovely comp here and, I would imagine, a very saleable image. Bet the exposure was a challenge but you've pulled it off expertly.

Cheers Alun. Yes, I'm very pleased with this one as it does demonstrate the exposure very nicely. I had to wait for the right moment and get it right first time!! Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Cracking exposure, Dave! Looks tricky with all that snow and very dark rocks.
Wouldn't have got me up there in a million years!

Good to see you back! I'd been wondering.......Smile

I love the image Dave....not particularly for the exposure but more for the impact it has. Your photography is always good. The whole set I have seen thus far is enough for me to really hate you...lol - j/kidding Wink

Good to have you back.

PS On Saturday afternoon I was stood in the very place I 1st met you....Smile They have a locked gate up that lane now but it was open so I drove up there...after speaking nicely to the guy who walked out of the farmyard...think he thought he was gonna get an eyeful as I had a female sat next to me...lol.

Interesting image Dave. The climbers are perfectly placed and almost walk you through the scene.
Good to see you back mate and looking forward to seeing new work.

I bet the views were great Dave, like the positioning of the subjects and the colours make them stand out well.
