Down at the station

My last upload before I go off on holiday to Lake Como in Italy… SmileSmile
To quote Monty Python, 'And now for something completely different!' Inspired by a technique in the latest edition of Digital Photo magazine for creating montages, I came up with this montage of 5 images taken at the railway station at Beamish Museum. Whilst stood on the platform waiting for the train to pull in, which like Puffing Billy up at the Pockerley area in my previous upload, runs short trips along the line, Bill pointed out the chap sat on the seat in V2 and said 'Poirot'. He does look rather like him! Grin I believe he's part of the fixtures and fittings of the museum. Added a touch of Orton effect to this shot, and de-saturated the colour a little to give it more of a period feel. The observant ones amongst you may remember seeing him in my Beamish Trams upload, to the right in V2 Smile
I feel honoured that my Beamish Museum uploads have inspired many to want to visit there, it certainly is a great place for photography, and if you haven't been before I can highly recommend it.
And finally, many thanks again to Bob (cabbie) for his UA on my Puffing Billy upload Smile

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Trev Smile

Good work with V1 Trev.
Dunno about Poirot though.
He looks more like a leering Benny Hill
spying on the girls here !!

The arrangement in V1 is superb. But V2 grabs my attention. I have my own favourite picture of this character at V3 here...

Super montage, Trev, a good set of details from the station.
I may have been slightly 'off' in my designation of the role-player as Poirot because the real Poirot will have worn spats Smile
Have a great trip to Lake Como!

Looking back again at your upload, Moira, I think he's put on a pound or two since you captured him! I think it's scoffing all those sarnies he has stashed away in his case... Smile
