Down in the Cellar

By dark_lord
I'm still finding some interesting shots from 20 years ago.
An old barrel that was used for Champagne production put on show in the Moet et Chandon cellars in Reims. August 1998.
Canon EOS 1N, Fujichrome RM 200 uprated one stop to ISO 400.
Converted to mono in Nik. The versions show the colour original and some of the bottles in storage.

Thank you for your comments and votes on Stuff in a Bowl 11.

So glad you included the color versions--- Splendid to see the old wood and bricks of the cellars!

Excellent Keith. Any 'liquid' this cask may have been storing should be just about right by now. WinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWinkTongueTongueTongueTongueTongueTongueTongue

Yes Isabel, tasting was an integral part of the tour.

Very cool and regular temperature Ian, great to escape the heat.
Though you produce some excellent sparkling wine in your country too.
Love the shapes and tones in these images
