Down in the Valley

By BillyGoatGruff
Drove for three hours in the rain.
Had a coffee in the rain, fifteen minutes before the cafe closed.
Did my back in, taking the long zoom out of the bag (! I kid you not!) in the rain when I spotted a heron close by.
Didn't get a shot of it 'cause it saw me hobbling around a flew off.
Changed to the wide zoom in the rain.
Hobbled around a bit in the rain, holding my back with one hand and the rig in the other.
Shot about 10 frames in the rain - this is one.
Went home in the rain.
My partner (and excellent chauffeur -chauffeuse?) laughed her head off.

Still, it was a nice day out. Sort of Smile

Thanks for looking.

Large is quite nice.
Anyway, I like it, even if nobody else does!

EDIT: I've just had this jpg opened in Photoshop alongside exactly the same jpg on here in two separate windows. For some reason the colour on epz is a bit muted for some reason I don't understand. Exactly the same file! Weird - it's the only time it's happened. No idea why, but you are probably not looking at what I think you are looking at. Er...... ??? Hello team? Er....

Didn't recoginse this as one of yours initially Bill. I can feel the damp seeping through my coat!

I find a similar problem with saturation and contrast on EPZ. I can upload the same image to both EPZ and Flickr - Flickr is bang on while EPZ seems to desaturate a little.

Thanks guys! Didn't think anyone was going to tune into this one! Ha Ha!

Thanks Sue - fortunately the back seemed ok two days later. Enough for the Durdle Door jaunt.
Having a relapse today, though: what a bore!

I'm glad it's not just me, Andy! Though this is the only image of mine I've noticed the problem on. And this is one of my tamer shots! Smile
