This was taken on Sunday at Black Clough with fellow epzer and neighbour Afyfe. We nearly didn’t go on Sunday because it started to rain as soon as I stepped out of the house Sad We waited a while and could see it clearing up slightly in the distance so we thought we would risk it. Because I don’t get out that often I was determined to get some shots whatever the weather so I took my wife’s umbrella to protect the lens – lol. Good job I did because it pi**ed it down after an hour, and that umbrella came in handy for this shot because it was pouring it down. We took turns in holding it above our camera’s while we took our shots; we still had to wipe our lens after a couple of shots though. By the time we got to the car we were drenched - things you do to get a shot – lol.

P.s. It was a black umbrella not a pink or a flowery one Wink

Nice one Mark....

Methinks you protest too much, the flowery umbrella was obviously camouflage!!!!

Lovely detail. It's on my hit-list but it's a fair drive from me. It's nice to see someone else's perspective on it. Can't wait. I get the impression from this that it benefitted from the rain.

Wonderfully lush greens Mark and works well with the long exposure. Sounded like hard work, but worth it as the HC shows!

excellent shot - very pretty - despite your manly claims about a non-flowery umbrella Wink
