Used a single square softbox almost on the floor with model looking over. Desaturated colours on clothing and removed skin blemishes. What do you think of the lighting and pose? Not sure about the shadows on the face.

I like this shot, the shadows on the face dont bother me, the slight blemish abouve her lip does a bit, but then I dont suppose you would want a 100% perfect model - wouldnt look right.
This picture is quite good. I think the lighting is quite effective. the only thing im not fond of is the square light reflections in the eyes.
dont like the highlights in the eyes or on the lip
Steve like this very much, I would not worry to much about the highlights in the eyes.
Softboxes tend to do this any way. What I`ve now been trying is attatching two thin strips of material, one diagonal and one horizontal forming a cross.
Has the effect of turning the reflection of the softbox into that of a window, a nice bit of trickery.
I would have cropped the arms just above the elbows, or asked the sitter to maybe having the arms comming in to form a v shape. see mod. Nothing really that I can complain about, a great pic.
Thanks for the comments and mods. Paul - that's a great idea for the softbox - something I can try out in PS first and maybe on the softbox next time.
Steve my softbox has valcro to fasten the outer cloth, so i also attached valcro to the stips of cloth, no need for sticky tape.
Thanks for the mod Noemi, the colour and softening look cool!
Ups! I forgot to put the commentary before jajaja.
It seems to me a perfect portrait, I like so much the colors and the light that you use in your photos.
You have worked sometimes for some fashionable campaign? the photos are brilliant.
Im happy that you like my vision of your photo
Thanks for the mods Guram - that's some nice skin softening you've done. Are you using a plug-in? I tend to use Kodak's Gem Airbush pro, though I hadn't used it on this one!
i love the lighting you used for the face, kept the eyes nice and lit plus i love her look well done, i gave you a little mod
Thanks for the mod Anthony - hope it didn't keep you up too late! I love those green eyes!
Breaks some 'rules' but it is a compelling shot.
what a beautiful model
I think it would be better to change the place of light
Em, thanks Kombizz - not sure I'd get the picture I wanted with it elsewhere - I've got some other pics for that!
