I did wonder if it was a screen of some kind, then read your description properly!
I rather like it actually - looking at your tags, 'dreamscape' is one of them and I think that fits the image well. This is normally how I see (and feel) before the first coffee of the morning, so I can relate to it
I think the only I'd do were it mine would be to crop that left side a fraction, to lose that strip of background to the left of the tree trunk. There's nothing in there that's important, and having a completely dark band there helps the eye move past that point (the blackness of night, metaphorically speaking?) into the hazy dreamscape of morning time.
Good though - different, definitely, but still effective.
