Dry Pond Bed

By GordonLack
Thanks to all for your vontes and comments on yesterdays Poppy image

Todays image is of the dry pond bed in the local woods, taken on one of our walks a couple of days ago. The pattern and texture that the hard baked mud made caught my eye with the blades of grass growing and the solitary pine cone.

Hope you enjoy best viewed large

A super detailed image. The texture feels rough from here. Well done

Interesting colour and textures but rather a lot to take in - think I would crop in a bit from the right and put the pine cone on a 1/3 to 2/3 intersection point to try and bump up the composition. A

Yep, remember now!! Too many nurofen have muddled my brain!! I do enjoy the cracks here and the pine cone which adds an extra element of interest. Good textures, well spotted, nice shot.
