Du Toitskloof Mountains

In the foreground the bridge to the Huguenot Tunnel (3900m, 1988) and behind that the old Du Toitskloof Pass (1949). Roads linking Paarl and Worcester in South Africa.
These mountains are part of the Cape Fold Belt which are the oldest mountains in the world, and are still standing because they made up of quartzitic sandstone, which resists erosion.
