Dubliners 21 - Personal Orientation

By mrswoolybill
Oh dear, the Eternal Triangle.
Oscar Wildeís statue in Merrion Square is very inventively placed opposite two bronzes, one of a naked nymph, the other a male torso. His gaze seems to wander in one direction only.
I considered including the Fine Art Nude category (for the first time ever in my portfolio) because after all thatís what she is, but I decided against. I donít like to disappoint people...
Thanks for looking,

A great contrast in sculpture types as well as attitudes. Looks like she's not interested in him either.

Obviously the authorities there have a sense of humour.
Two good shots showing two very different interpretations.

#1 is very well composed
A fine mix of the different work, must be a forward thinking council who put this lot together Moira, you're work here has been interesting and clever in the framing of the Wilde statue in particular.

Super shot Moira. I like the sultry pose and look of the statue in V1. What's he on about, Cormy that is not Oscar - probably best not to ask.

Clever positioning of these works of art. Oscar may be interested in V2, but I particularly like V1.

Yes,I do think Oscar is rather missing the ''point'' here !!!!! Entirely up to him off course.I always have been a believer in ''whatever floats your boat'' !! These are very educational images here Moira. And better late than never,is another saying I believe in.At my time of life, perhaps I am just learning that their is more to the female of the species than legs !!!!!

Cool shots. I like both of them. The first one seems funny with the way the female statue is naked but turned away in shyness. And the second one looks contemplative with the male form. Nice angles.

Nice, and I like how they have been arranged, - Oscar quite immune to the lovely lady. Hes taking a chance on the torso though, its missing some of its bits....
