Duck Takeoff

By Marty_Woodcock
At a storm-drain runoff near my house, I attempted to capture this duck on the water, but I got too close. I had to act fast, and this is what I photographed. What do you think of my capture? Critiques are welcome. And yes, that is a school in the background.

The duck seems small in the photo, and the horizon is lopsided. The lower half of the scene would make a good photo.

The lopsided look is due to the large hill on the other side of the water-runoff. It's flat on the side where I took the shot from. The lens was zoomed out as much as it could. It's only a kit lens.
