DUMBARTON ROCK

By thorn
this is a landscape i managed to get through the window of the train whilst moving so i am pleased it came out at all.I took it on the way back from my friends at the end of July.
It is Dumbarton Rock with Urquart Castle, taken from the train looking across the waater.

Amendment:the castle is DUMBARTON CASTLE,thankyou to Tommy(uggy)for the link.www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/dumbarton/dumbartoncastle/index.html that allowed me to ckeck the castle name and details properly.
Thankyou to Douglas who also said.

All comments and advice welcome.Take care.AnnSmile
Thankyou.

Well grabbed Ann, you did well. I prefer the crop on the mod. but not the colours, they are over saturated to me and unnatural.

Very lovely shot this Ann. I love the misty feel and overall atmosphere in this composition. The lightness of tone also gives this image a very gentle and soothing feel. The image is beautifully presented too. It looks like a wonderful place to visit, and you've captured the mood perfectly.

Thank you for commenting on my so-called "critique" image. Unfortunately, as my user name was displayed on this image I have just deleted it. I mean, what is the point of having an "anonymous" critique Gallery if the user's name appears!?

Anyway, I thank you again Ann for taking time to comment (again) on that shot, and for your continuing support.

Take care,

KJ

Odd when rocks just pop out of the water like that...makes you wonder how that land mass was formed. Very nicely done Ann, and through a window yet! I really like this one because it is the real colours of one travelling on a dullish day. There is beauty everywhere! click!
