What an extraordinary location, Kin. The light on the castle is fantastic, but I also love the detail in those deep gorges.

Light works best with fabulous rich shadows and vice versa. Which is why this pair sit so well together. Slight preference for V2, because it's the sort of shot I might look for on a day like that, but not see half so well.

Stunning shot of the castle Kin.

Fantastic!!!!!!! Sorry, was so blown away by #1 that I didn't comment on 2. Visited Dunnoter Castle as a child and thought it was the most magical castle I'd ever been to- forget Edinburgh!
This is a great shot. Thanks for the memories as they say......

both are wonderful captures of some stunning light
v1 is great how you have captured the height of this magestic castle with the dark and menacing rocks with the castle above looking warm and welcoming in the sunshine.

v2 the bright sunlight illuminating the frosty grasses and fence is magical

Wow Kin, these are beautiful. The castle is one of my fav. places - though I have not yet been there - but it is such an historical place, and the situation on the rock is terrific. Great moment you captured here.
V2 is simply beautiful. Great fg, lovely light, nice compo.

Fantastic Brian! Liked the later upload but it pales in comparison with this. V2 should have had its own upload as it's lost behind such a stunning V1!
Rgds., Jim
