Dunstanburgh Moods

By jeronius
Well, not quite what I had planned. The forecast was for clouds yesterday morning, so I ventured out across the lethal soap bar holders.

I'm happy(ish) with this shot, but I'll obviously have to aint that far away from me.

PS. Many thanks for all the encouragement on my previous post. Muchly appreciated.

Dosn`t matter about the clouds in this shot, the excellent shutter work to create the dreamy misty
image with the wet boulders, and the composition make this one a winner in my book.

Cracking shot !! the wet boulders, with a fascinating 'unearthly' aura from the 'vapourised' water !!.Smile

Including so many boulders has balanced the image very well, as the sky was cloudless. Lovely colour tones and use of shutter speed. Is that really only 30 seconds? The water looks so smooth. Nice work.

I concur, great image and the boulders look surreal, almost like the shot of all the eggs in the first Alien film. (I think or was it Godzilla?) Certainly an image you could spend hours manipulating! Certainly worth all the awards it's going to garner!

Did anyone else see Alien on the tv at the weekend?

Anyway, I am drawn to Dunstanburgh whenever in the area (which is as often as practical given c. 6-7 hour drive) and have attempted similar shots numerous times but I have to say that yours is better.

Now I will have to try and get back again this Summer - although 7.45 am is somewhat easier than the 3.30am required in June.
