By mrswoolybill
We visited Belsay Hall. I photographed the wall by the dustbins...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

A strange place to find a cricket reference, isn't it?

Subject matter and processing in true harmony, Moira.

A bring-your-own-story kind of image.
Oddly satisfying.

Were the dustbins only for depositing ashes? A simple shot, but very striking 😃👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks folks, and thanks Alan for the UA.

Quote:A bring-your-own-story kind of image.

The story: The Hall is in scaffolding and partly boarded off, for work to replace the roof (that's good in the long run, flat roofs have always been a pain in the proverbial); the carpark is substantially taken over by the construction workers; some alarmingly large chunks of rock have come down in the Quarry Garden so areas there are cordoned off; and the three major flower beds in the formal garden have been stripped out and planted densely with yew trees, under the guidance of a TV gardener whom God forgive. So photographic opportunities are somewhat curtailed there, this was the best I could find.
