Ear Plugs Needed... PLEASE !!!

I spotted this earsplitting demon cicada about 15 feet up the apple tree this afternoon...The daytime chorus is unbelievable...many many decibels !!!!

That's a cracking picture from that range.
It's also the best looking bug of that type I've seen.
Usually they are sort of dusty and slightly bedraggled.

A great shot ....so I take it he is very loud then....
Hahha Colleen...they are totally unbelievably loud...I have to put my hands over my ears when outside, and all windows shut when inside...GrinGrinGrin and it isnt just a HE it is thousands of them...!!!!!Grin

We have Cicada here in Kenya, they are loud and thousands of them.
Not as big, or loud as yours Lynette - thankfully!
