Following their morning worship to the rising sun on the Ganges the ladies began their daily laundry.
Colorful saris were plunged, doused, pummeled, wrung out and then laid on the ground to dry. I watched these ladies with admiration as they expertly washed clothes in their holy river, and I couldn't help but be struck by the difference between my life with, it's modern appliances, and the peaceful, simple scenes being played out before me.
The morning light was delicate and I hoped to show that with this shot. I cropped to place the lady off center and was careful with saturation levels.
I wondered if the shot could do with warming up a tad, and I'd be grateful for any constructive critique and ideas on how this shot could be improved.
Also I feel the background may be a bit noisy - should I try to reduce the noise?
Thanks for looking
