early morning Opera House runner

By GavMc

Another capture from Sydney..

I saw this early morning jogger running up the steps in front of the Opera House and was immediately struck by the rhythm of the three repeating elements - the larger House, the smaller House, and this lady.

Whilst in Sydney I was keen to get some Opera House shots in - as its curves are so sensuous, and this is one of my favourite, enhanced I feel, by the lead in of the foreground steps.

I had quite a play with creating different depths of steps and sky via croppings, so let me know what you think..

Very nice, always good to see a different angle on such famous buildings.

This is a great shot Gavin and you are absolutely spot on in your description about all of the things that make it work. I think it would also work very well in B&W. John

Thanks John! On your idea I've uploaded a B&W mod, and you're right it works well - because of the strong shapes.
