EASTER

By drayl002
Took me 2 hours to get this shot for the Junior competition. The Rabbits wouldn't stay still! But I did find out that they LOVE chocolate!
Hope you like it,
Luke

Thanks for your comments. Gray I never intended for them to eat the chocolate and didn't think they would but made sure I took it away when I realized they liked it!
Luke.

WINNER!!!!!!!

OK - time to announce the winners!

Ist place: (winning a copy of crazytalk6 donated by reallusion) Drayl002: This image really made us smile!! The expression on the real rabbit as he nibbled at the chocolate one is absolutely fantastic. The low point of view is wonderful. Your patience certainly paid off, you've caught a brilliant shot!

2nd Place: (winning e2 membership donated by EPZ) Joubertjosh: Very well thought out! You've captured the egg brilliantly and shining a torch through it was a good idea, having the silhouette of 3 crosses on a hill reminds us what Easter is all about.

Joint 3rd: (winning an EPZ camera strap) Charly16: This is a very pretty image, it would make a beautiful Easter card. You've posed beautifully, capturing yourself well lit and sharp (never easy in a self portrait). We also like the manipulations you've done, a lot of work has gone into this image and it shows!

Joint 3rd: (winning an EPZ camera strap) Rockhopper350: There is lot to look at in this image! Just how many chicks can you squeeze into one picture. The focus is beautifully sharp and the colours are wonderful. A well seen and caught shot!

Here's what the Judges thought of the other entries - yet again you made it really tough!!!

Bluefire_Photographer: The thought behind this image is brilliant. The point of view and perspective is perfect, it really emphasises the size of this enormous tree. We liked the way the trunk is in the shadows, yet the crown of the tree is in the light and still has life - what an amazing tree, and a brilliant analogy of Easter.

Ciara25: A lovely image, well presented. The little wooden model and egg would have made a super image, but your manipulation and presentation has made it into something different and eye catching. Well done!

Kai_KaiAmydyer: A gorgeous, sunny Easter shot. You've caught the baby cygnets brilliantly, we liked its little fluffy bum too!

Marco_delvalle1: A wonderful sunrise, the colours and silhouettes are gorgeous. We liked your way of thinking, that sunrise represents the Easter message of hope and renewal. Well done.

Colinbear: The colours and strong silhouette of a cross is gorgeous. There's even a sun's flare in the shape of a trumpet! (Though Karen would like to add, please be careful shooting into the sun, not only can it damage your eyes, but the camera!)

BenKiteley: Not only have the daffodils been captured brilliantly, but they've been presented beautifully too. A gorgeous shot, well worth printing for the wall!

Perry_95: A brilliantly simple shot. The daffodil has been caught beautifully and the yellow really stands out against the plain black background.

JadeClark: This time the daffodils have a natural backdrop, a totally different look, but still a brilliant capture. We liked Geoff's comment "Almost like a blurred reflection"!

Bronwen1997: A well thought out image, this part of the garden looks a little wild and secret, where better to hide the Easter eggs! We liked the way the lone daffodil balances the large egg in the other side of the image. (We also liked the 'Hoppy Easter', pun!).

Emmeline: The lighting really is very effective in this image, we feel quite sorry for the eggs, they look so scared! Well thought out and brilliantly caught.

Well done to everyone - and now for breaking news - - - -

We have decided to announce out next theme today - to give you all plenty of time! As usual, it will take place on the first Saturday in May, the 7th, the rules will be just the same.

The theme is I-Spy - - something beginning with "M" - so thinking caps on - we are looking forward to the entries!
