Easy Route Up

By sut68
Looking back towards Catbells I noticed this bloke in his Paraglider hovering around the route up from the northern end. His hovering made it look so easy yet I know it's not because about 4 hours earlier I had left my car at 3am and made the arduous ascent up that route to catch sunrise from the top looking back 180 degrees to this very point - my thighs are still in bulk now.

The light was just beautiful to watch, even more of a pleasure to be able to photograph ... had I been without a camera then I would probably have just sat and watched this anyway.

Cheers for looking in,

Beautiful light and dappled shade on the fellside. The hang-glider is the cream Smile

Ha ha, I've seen that photo on Facebook!

A superb image. The scan symbol does distract from the fantastic image I'm afraid. The paraglider is well placed and the colours and composition are wonderful.

You could well be right Andrew, I could put a big watermark on my shots but I feel that becomes too intrusive and so this is the 'norm' for me.

Lovely shot of Catbells in good light. Was it taken from Latrigg as its a very good viewpoint?

Yes Geoff from Latrigg but lower and to the right of the viewpoint.

Only briefly Les, they're still complaining Wink

It was lovely up there Sandy.

Thanks Ann, it was strange being able to hear him from so far away ... then again, in the Lakes the sound seems to carry as it's generally so peaceful Smile
