This is a shot from Fairburn Ings, taken a few weeks ago. It's a crop from a lo bigger shot - just spotted that these 3 heads all looked like the echo in a wave.
Went mono as the colours were just browny nastiness, but thought the orange beaks were worth saving.
Not really a bird man, but if I get something a little different to the 10000000 shots of swans that arrive each week, I'll post it

What a beautiful study in swans..this is just lovely and brilliantly presented against the black.
Nice. Very nice Like the beaks, and you're right about the echo. It is indeed a little different from the norm, this image.
Nicely done - good use of shallow dof too.
Well spotted and works well in black and white, nice work.
Works very well Ade, good idea to keep the bit of colour very effective.
Very effective, well done.
Really nice, well done
Certainly different, I thought for a moment that it was a cloning job - shame on me! The mono conversion/colour popping works very naturally here.
Well observed pattern shot Adrian. Different slant on swans! Must be seen large. Ron.
Not bad at all Mr Mac!!!!
Nic eto see different fella
