Not actually visited this part of Edinburgh, but looks a nice peaceful area, Johanna. Two delightful images - if I had to choose a favourite, V1 I think.

Cormy is not far away with his comment Johanna. As kids we used to climb the ruins of St Anthony's chapel as you see in the BG here, and then swim is this water which is called St Margarets Loch !! Nowadays I have no engery for that, but I might go back one day and feed the ducks !!
Good shots.

Hard choice between the 2 Johanna, for me V1 has better colour but V2 works well without the distracting figure on the left edge .....

maybe just maybe you should have cropped out the person you can just see on the left more noticeable when viewed large but otherwise a great shot, very tranquil

I'm set to enjoy your series on Scotland Johanna, I always imagine Edinburgh as being all built up but your shots show it has pretty views too. I like the remains of the chapel in the background and the activity of the gulls as in #1.

Large is always better, especially when there is so much detail to see. Love the flurry of movement in the front of the frame.

Two excellent lakeside scenes, I'd never have guessed these were taken in Edinburgh. I bet local Ediburgh resident Mikbee wishes he could attract this many birds when he visits the park! lol
