Eel Time

By Richsr
Had a trip to the Farne Island on Friday to try my hand at photographing the Puffins that are there at the moment. They are just amazing.
First go at this type of photography so was pleased with this one.
This type of image is not an easy shot to get as within a second of the puffins landing they are attacked by gulls who have worked out that the puffins are an easy source of fish provision.
So the Puffins don't hand around they land and disappear straight into their burrow. Otherwise they lose the fish.

Thanks again for all your comments on my previous upload much appreaciated.
Regards
Richard

Good shot with the fish, they do move quickly, not that I've seen them in the flesh onlt on TV.

Well caught with the sand eels Rich. Went there in 2005 and going again at the end of this month for a couple of days when feeding will be at it's peak.

I like the feel of this, we're lurking low in the undergrowth peering through. Quite voyeuristic.
