Egg-Crisps-Wine

By bobby55
Fathers day and my daughter brought me a small gift....just when I found out I need to count the calories Tongue
Here we have her home pickled eggs in a nice kilner jar, also bags of crisps and a bottle of wine.
I've made this composition however the wine is substituted with fruit juice as I finished it last night.
light camera left diffused with curtains, setup on the bare pine welsh dresser f/16 tripod remote release
RAW edited in Aftershot pro finished in Paintshop pro with HDR effect applied.
Non HDR in versions.

Thanks for looking
Bob

Hi Bob, I see the Kilner jar came in handy Wink
You are thinking much more about your subjects, less complicated, well done.
Just a couple of points..
The frame could do with a slight clockwise rotation to straighten the 'horizon' or the use of one of the transform tools and I'm not sure that the HDR effect has done you any favours. Looking at the original, maybe just a levels adjustment would have done the trick to darken things up a bit and improve the contrast.
You could use any coloured card behind your subjects just drop it in ( for future images perhaps, as I quite like the warm wood here).
Nicely lit, no screaming highlights, well done !

Another version added, selective colouring as playing with the sliders Smile
