A well composed and captured image I like the moddy lighting but was a wee bit off put with the leg and arm on the rhs .... I thought at first a continuation of the arm till I realised however that could be down to my bad eyesight rather than anything you have done Wink Overall a winner for me and good work Colin

Good afternoon Jools, what a lovely portrait, you would never know that Eleanor hasn't modelled before, super light and composition, beautifully taken.

To me the problem in an otherwise well captured image is that the long black gloves against the black dress leave her looking as though she has only upper arms. Had to look Large to really make out the gloves, but still find that a bit off-putting. Sorry, Jools, if that's me being too critical, but I do think leaving the arms and hands uncovered would have looked better.

I really like this shot jools I just think that if the models right arm had been extended supporting her she would look a little less awkward. Otherwise a very good shot.

edgy..unusual angle choice, like the model!overall wworks very well, colours being minimal work ..sligfht thing[very]the arm and the top of the leg, lack of a touch more light to the glove makes the two almost blend..but could easily just be my monitor and crap eyesight!
does Eleanor have a phone number then :0)

I agree with what's been said above. She's an attractive model with an edgy look and the pose and lighting add to the gothic feel. I also feel that the black gloves and dress blend together so the overall form of her torso/arms/legs is a little confusing (on screen anyway). But good, nonetheless.

Technically your shot is brilliant, the 10-20 lens is the last thing you want for a portrait ( stretches the upper third of the image, a lot at10mm ) here is the proof of your image with proper/careful use you can achieve excellent results, love the dof leads the eye gently in towards the tattoo, hint for the composition: when i tilt my head to the left your model looks more comfortable, Very good shot Jools.

I like this and she looks very confident considering she hasn't modelled before, but I think all has been said above really. Its a lovely shot, but a couple of things that others have advised on would make this really rather excellent! Lovely! Smile
