Elgar's Piano ..........

By DicksPics
............ well, one of them!!

Today's images were taken in January 2019 during a visit to The Firs, a National Trust property at Lower Broadheath near Worcester, the birthplace of the composer Sir Edward Elgar.

I didn't notice the pedals were missing in V1 ..... or that the carpet needed a good vacuum!!

V2 shows the shop in Worcester High Street owned by the Elgar family; V3 shows 'The Firs' and the great man himself can be seen in contemplative mood in the final version.

Many thanks for all votes, encouraging comments and awards(PMs sent) for my 'Water Lilies at Dudmaston' upload - very much appreciated, as always.SmileSmile

Perhaps it's an automatic model, Richard, and doesn't need pedals! 😁 A very lovely and ornate walnut piano, has to be the most beautoful I've ever seen. Love both the close-up in the lead and the wider V1 equally. Wonderful 😃👍

A super set on the great man. A strange piano with no pedals, never seen one before. I noticed it is called a trichord. This produced: Definition of trichord:
: of, relating to, or being a piano having three strings tuned in unison to each digital throughout most of its compass. Whatever that means!!!
