Definitely Michelin, Hugh: the 'Michelin man' was called Monsieur Bibendum I think; the cartoon head was an early version, he became more inflated as he grew older Grin
This has been an enjoyable series full of mechanical chaos!

Michelin's Mr Bibendum. His name came from an early Michelin poster which featured a line from Horace, Nunc est bibendum (Now it's time for a drink). Can you imagine a motoring advert like that nowadays??
Lovely nostalgic clutter.

What a conglomeration of this, that and the everything but the kitchen sink: I can almost smell the oil, petrol and grease that these old garages always reeked of, Hugh.
Ronnie.
