Having indulged in presenting images taken with the 10-20 for the last several days, here's something different.
I also invested in the Canon EF-S 17-85 IS which has macro too. So last Saturday I had a play with that too!
In the churchyard of Guisborough Parish Church, right next to the Priory there was a tomb surrounded by railings which had obviously been there for some time. In this image you can see that the top of the railing is partially embedded in the bark of the tree, and that ivy has started to embrace all.
I think the flat face of the railing is about half an inch across and that the lens was about 12 inches from the subject - as close as it goes.
1/125s f8 ISO 100
Thanks for looking - if you have time you can view larger than lifesize if you go large. I would appreciate any comments you may have - thank you, Mike
