By a shear coincidence, if this was taking off from `Birmingham I awaited the very same plane with my camera only yesterday ......sadly, the flight path wasn't over our house as it sometimes is.....the wind must have been the wrong way?
You beat me to it.
I love this huge beast of an aircraft, it is remarkably quiet as is almost floats in, lowering its undercarriage just a mile or so out from landing.
Takeoff is different.....it has a very distinctive roar.

The flight path varies, if it takes off towards Coventry it will pass over the South of the city but if it takes off North away from Coventry it comes around either over Bedworth or North Coventry. Yesterday I missed out, when I saw it approaching me when I didnt have my camera it banked at 45 degrees over Ash Green and turned direct into my path. The shot I took a few weeks back and put on here it was passing over Bedworth/Nuneaton and put a false background on as it approached Birmingham. The banking shot would have looked rather impressive against the landscape so its one Im going to look out for in future.
