My harmonograph project continues to evolve. This one was produced yesterday. I'm still surprised and excited by some of the images I am getting with it. Here I've retuned the two platforms to almost exactly the same period (unison tuning) and introduced a gap and fading between the two colours. This has had the effect of separating the blue and red forms, yet leaving them intertwined and coupled. The conditions also slow the platform decay, so the lines are closer together, making the red form almost solid, with the beautiful folded structure; with this tuning the pattern also tends to have inversion/ reflection symmetry, which I think is quite easy on the eye. Still plenty more things to try!

Very pleasing imagery here, rather dolphinesque and very beautiful. Bravo for this pioneering series.
