Epinotia subocellana

Epinotia subocellana, sometimes known locally as the White Sallow Bell. A very common but small Micro Moth that has a wingspan of about 10-12mm and a length of approximately 7-8mm. Found in most woodland and damp habitats, foodplant is thought to be Willow and Sallow. The adults are on the wing during May to July, flying from dusk onwards, and are attracted to light. A 22 image stack created using ZereneZP.

A phenomenal close up of this tiny moth, the detail you've captured is unbelievable. You've really mastered that macro lens of yours.......but you do have plenty of time at your disposal to hone your skills mind!Wink
