Epophen

By chase
Another from my session with the very heavy chain and hook.

A reduced colour palette, the name on the rusty tin is the title, some sort of weird paint inside which, according to google is still produced...... and no, I didn't open it just incase I ended up like the bird perched on the bricks Wink
I like the extra textures the bricks bring to this.
Lit by diffused daylight camera left.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.

Love the dark toning Janet. Note the hook and chain is still on the table. Making the most of it before you get the Crane in to lift it off. Tom

The bird's skull is saying 'That thing will never fly. Trust me...'

A solid heavy arrangement, Janet, with a touch of weirdness from the bird skull and the spider. To me not quite so well balanced as your previous set-ups, although I don't know what you can put on the left as a counterbalance to the bricks and the hook.

I love the muted tones of this Janet, and your composition, as always, is so clever.

I looked it up: a two-pack epoxy coating for extreme temperatures?

In my garage, I have noticed that an old tin of Waxoyl has rusted, and is leaking onto hte shelf. The stuff of silly Sundays: it's intended to stop cars rotting away...

Nice shot, too!

Maybe I will need the stuff in the tin here if it gets colder Wink
Garages are wonderful places, as are sheds, old workshops etc, it's surprising what you find tucked away in the darkness of Spiders webs Wink

My immediate thought on seeing this was 'Big Yellow Taxi' by Joni Mitchell. The extinct bird caused by Man building on its natural habitat...

I remain impressed by that skull's mandibles--a pair---usually the lower one is lost somewhere!

Janet - I hope that you have read jacomes comment - I have in my opinion he has a point - yet, it is a simple to correct - just flipped the image over, the words on the can isn't clear to read - then you have an excellent picture to admire.

I've never done a modification previously - just picked up the picture off Photo Gallery and flipped it.-
