First visit to Eriskay a few weeks ago. It was a flying visit having taken the ferry from Harris, and driven down through the Uists and Benbecula. As we sat on the beach here, watching the little ferry leave for Barra (looking back over my shoulder) we had sea eagles soaring above us...we did not want to leave this little island paradise!

This is the beach where Bonny Prince Charlie landed when he first arrived in Scotland - and also where the film Whisky Galore was based on when the SS Politician sank in 1941. We never found any!
