Et le soleil plus brlant qu'aujourd'hui (au Caf de Flore)

Et le soleil plus brûlant qu'aujourd'hui

Remember the days when, if there was an exhibition on in Paris, one would board the Eurostar on a whim and stay for a week or so? I whimmed.

Cliché though it may be, I chose to breakfast each day at the Café de Flore, which I prefer to the equally renowned Les Deux Magots. If anybody famous was there, I am too ignorant to know them by sight.

Each morning I walked along the Rue de Rennes from my hotel near St. Placide. The first morning was decidedly damp. By the time I arrived at the Boulevard St. Germain it was ghastly.

As I breakfasted a leaf kindly fell onto the table outside. Colour and moody B&W.
