A fascinating mono macro that I would have labelled Abstract without your tags. I can see the veins in the leaves, certainly, and the overall shape; I suspect however that a purist would have expected to see an exif of something like 1/25 sec @ f16 and preferaly a slower shutter speed still with a lower ISO.
But I am not a purist, I don't know what the central parts of the flower are called and it doesn't really bother me - but that central assembly does suggest a cartoon fighter pilot from the early 20th century peering oout through wonky goggles Smile
Compositionally I would prefer to see this centre offset rather than four-square, but I really don't mind: the image is so very different and appeals enormously to me.

I expected to see an insect not a plant!
Definitely abstract - how many would have worked out what it is?

I honestly don't know whether this one is good or not Nigel. I have a very small brain and it's not telling me what it is.

Very interesting image.. I couldn't work it out what it was.. it looked like a bug or something rather than a plant.. yes.. very Alien form, Grin the sparking water keeps people's brain going.. with interests and curiosity. Excellent.
BTW, thank you for the critique, Nigel.
