Evening Walk.

By paulbroad
A bit of strong back lighting. Exposed for highlight but still had to burn in a bit. Luckily a rim light right round the figures. Purposly kept bushes etc. very dark. Just shapes really.

EOS 7D with 18/250mm Sigma OS at about 135mm. OS on. ISO100. Aperture priority f11. About 1/800 sec with -2 stops compensation.

Nice shot that popped out as a thumbnail. The burning might be overdone just a tad as it seems to be introducing some colour into the tarmac. But a good image.

Dead right, Willie. Quite a bit of burning in some areas.

Nice simple image, but I find my eyes drawn to the grass as its the only colour. This might be better as a straight b&w as its pretty graphic in nature. I would have also liked it shot fractionally earlier, so the figures weren't cutting the road/bushes line, but its somewhat saved by the rim lighting around their hair.
Just shows though, that there are subjects in even the most mundane situations.

It is looking west, Jas, but about 16.00. So, you are right, not technically evening.

SmileActually, it reminded me of the time when I can take some photos... that means day time with strong contrast of light ... it was the shadows...
