Ever Changing Light

By jeanie
Just back from a long "week" on holiday in Scotland... Was delayed leaving here to get to friends near Edinburgh by 2 days because of the snow.. then friends and I were all delayed leaving their home as the cottage we booked up in Sutherland was not accessible as the roads were all snow-bound and we arrived two days later than originally planned, last Monday. Fortunately we had managed to delay the start of the holiday to last Sunday, so we only lost one day up there.

...but all that was forgotten when it was announced last Tuesday that I had won the Landscape category (plus won one other category that I will share later) in Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2017 Smile Grin

I am in good company - my friend and fellow EPZ member Chris Miles was commended as was Paul Holloway... well done gents Grin

Congratulations, Jeanie. Very well deserved awards. I particularly liked the bluebells in Glencoe spring image. Will check out the location myself in Spring.😀😉

Hi Jeanie

I was one of the judges for SLPOTY and no I didn't know the identity of any of the authors of the images presented to us. This was right at the top of the heap in terms of the images presented to us for judging. Congratulations on your win.

Thank you very much indeed Ian. That is fantastic to know and I very much appreciate your kind words. Given how many entries there are, I was/am totally blown over to have won. The great thing is - the whole evening that this was taken was delightful with ever changing, amazing light. An evening I will not forget for a very long time.
