Everywhere I go I am seeing these beauties.
This one seemed to have fine webbing all over it.
Caught 8 tiny caterpillars munching on one of my leaves yesterday ...I was so angry I plucked off the leaf and binned it
Photo op missed entirely....
Priorities I guess.....
Beautiful Barbara, nice detail and a fine composition,
A thorny but beautiful subject and one that I as a Scot find myself so at home with: they do seem to have proliferated this year particularly, Barbara.
Very nicely captured.
You committed lepidoperacide, you bounder!
Nice sharp image that looks a mite over saturated on my screen.
They are beautiful indeed
Wonderful close up Barbara, looks fantastic viewed large you can see every little spike, blooming caperpillers, they ate most of my sweet peas!
Good details and colours for this Barbara.
Detail and colour - 10/10.
Wonderful capture !
There are plenty more caterpillars in the sea Barbara, i wouldn't worry too much
This is so beautiful. I love the lushness of the colour.
Nice capture, (pity about the lovely butterflies that had to be sacrificed)
I have a few to come . . .
A beautiful close-up, beautiful colour.
Great deep colours in this Barbara, which is lovely to see. Carry on knocking off the caterpillars, don't want them heading South.
A very bold image with arty appeal.
i wish i could have hair like that! would look good on my balding head..
an image that invokes the very gentle and sufferable sadness of loss of hair.. (an honest response to the image)
a lovely image.. that bunch at the top is really special..
There are so many around my favourite spots, time to get a shot for myself, this is a nice one Barbara. - gary
Great colour Barbara and beautifully presented.
At this time until October, that plant is covering all Romania, (from Carpathians to grain cultures and from dunes to the Danube Delta) It is considered the worst weed, but it has a wonderful flower as seen in your well done picture
Why are weeds hardier than many domestic flowers? Great and very colourful image.
Birds eat what the thistles have on them, Love this big thistle!
You should get plenty of bees coming to the thistles, Barbs, your next photo opportunity Carol
Well, think I'd have photographed the caterpillars before binning them! I really like these wild flowers - a super capture here, Barbs, thistle do very nicely!
Murderer! Rather thistles than bind weed though...
