I've been waiting for this Amaryllis flower head to do something interesting, rather than sit there looking vaguely manky Grin It's now dried out to the point where it's got some gorgeous shapes, though it is quite delicate and fragile.

The one I was going to upload somehow didn't look right on the computer, even though it looked okay on the phone. I think this is one of those subjects that really do need a decent macro lens to get the most out of it, and not plonked against the wall with one hand while trying to hold the phone camera with the other Grin

And that's the reason for the treatment. I think I'd degraded the (dubious!) quality of the original so much, that it just didn't look right. So into Color Efex's multi-lens feature, played around with positions and scale/rotation and then given a bit of oil paint treatment in Photoshop. I did add a texture, which was one I took of an old gravestone ages ago, that had little bits of lichen all over it.

Mind you, I suppose that fits with the 'dead' theme Tongue

Hiya Tanya, I got your PM thanks for good wishes, rushing around trying to get ready but had to come and have a quick look at your latest. Smile

At first I was not that sure of the three image thing, so I looked at it partially cross eyed Blush and it sort of merged them which I liked! But then when I went back to normal (?) and had another look it had got a lot better!!! I love the swirly effect. Not quite so haluci... halitosi..hellicigenteel......s.d it, weird, as some of the others, but still great.

Well, it looks good to me, even if it is a phone pic! Love your playing around, and assembling it as a triptych works very well Smile
