Phil, Im sorry, I cant agree with the above.

No disrespect to anyone that commented or to yourself.

The shot you have tried for is a very hard shot to get correct.

Both eyes should have been pin sharp, more dof would be needed or get a real good square line up and focus on the outside ball of both eyes, check both sides in the vf are sharp and bang.

Macro is one of the most demanding subjects in photography in my opinion.

Dam good effort, keep it up.

I am afraid I agree with *GarethRobinson* on this Phil.
Very surprised you failed to see the lack of sharpness in the eyes - one is a little sharper than the other though.
